Unlike pre-washed denim, the Claus is made from raw, untreated fabric dyed with natural indigo. This means your apron will develop a unique patina—fading and creasing in patterns that reflect how you work. No two Claus aprons age the same way. Yours will be as unique as your craft.

Made to Order:

Each Claus apron is handcrafted in our workshop from premium raw denim. Your apron takes approximately 10 business days to create, ensuring every stitch and detail meets our standards.

Care Instructions (Important for Raw Denim):

First Few Washes (Critical):

• Hand wash only for the first 2-3 washes
• Water temperature: Maximum 40°C (104°F)
• Dissolve detergent completely before adding apron (avoid crystals on fabric)
• Do not wring, twist, or bunch the fabric
• Rinse 2-3 times thoroughly
• Hang to dry vertically in shade (no direct sunlight)
• Do not wear light-colored shirts under apron before first wash (indigo may transfer)

After Initial Washes:

• Machine wash on delicate cycle (no spin, no dryer)
• Use detergent for colored fabrics (standard detergent may contain bleach)
• Water temperature: Maximum 40°C (104°F)
• Hang to dry in shade, fully extended
• Iron inside-out at 150-200°C with steam
• Keep steam away from leatherette details
